Bangkok Rugby Sevens enters exciting new phase
Colonel David Dufall (Retd), Chairman of the Bangkok Rugby Sevens, is pleased to announce that after thorough negotiations the Bangkok Sevens will continue under a new format and ownership structure.
The Bangkok Sevens has been in existence for the last 18 years and has attracted a formidable number of teams internationally and from Thailand. The new structure under Colonel Dufall as Chairman, will combine the rugby and operational expertise of NZRugbyResources (Asia) Limited and Khun Adisak Hemyoo, a long standing member of the Thai Rugby Union and of Thai Barbarians fame.
NZRugbyResources (Asia) Limited is a rugby development company headed by David Adamson who market rugby resources on a global scale. Their business is about providing complete rugby resources to Coaches, Players and Administrators.
NZRugbyResources have clients in the developing rugby world ranging from Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Iran, Lebanon, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Tahiti, Sri Lanka to Fiji and have developed strategic alliances with New Zealand based suppliers that enables them to deliver a complete rugby package to developing rugby nations.
Khun Adisak Hemyoo has a long history of rugby within Thailand and Asia and as Chairman of the Asian Rugby Football Union (ARFU) brings an extensive knowledge and passion for the game of Rugby.
The current Bangkok Sevens format will be restructured and the new structure, to be announced later will offer a dynamic and exciting basis for the establishment of a world-class tournament in Bangkok. The dates for the Bangkok Sevens 2013 can now be confirmed as November 8/9/10 2013.
