Dates for the 2010 Bangkok Sevens (Open) - 29 - 31 October featuring the following divisions:

Program (Open Men & Women) -
Men’s Division: 30 October – 31 October.  20 Teams competing through a qualifying series before entering the Cup, Plate & Bowl knock-out.
Women’s Division: 29 October – 31 October. 8 Teams competing through a qualifying and finals series before playing off for the Women’s Cup.
NB. There will be no Veteran's Division

Youth Tournaments
Boy’s U/15 Division: 20-21 November at Bangkok Patana School. 12–16 Teams competing in a qualifying series before entering the Cup, Plate and Bowl in knock-out format possibly playing 12-a-side.
Girls U/18 Division: 20-21 November at Bangkok Patana School.   8-12 Teams competing in a qualifying series before entering the Cup, Plate and Bowl in knock-out format playing 7-a-side.
Both Divisions are open to international Clubs & schools.
Timings
29 October – Welcome Party.
29 October – Women’s Sevens Qualifying rounds,  12.00 -17.00pm.
30 October to 31 October – Men’s & Women’s Sevens.
31 October – Tournament Dinner.
20-21 November -  "Youth Rugby Challenges" - Boy’s U/15s and Girls U/17s.

Note: The Bangkok Sevens will be held at the Klong Chan Stadium (Klong Chan Housing Estate Sports Stadium) on Nawamin Road, Klong Chan/Bang Kapi (about 20 kms from lower Sukhumvit Rd).

Referees’ Panel
International Referees are invited to participate in the Bangkok Sevens and in past years strong support has been provided by a number of individuals and regional Rugby Unions.
The 2009 Panel included-
Australia – John Hill, Perth, Panel Coordinator; James Waddington (RAAF) & Steve Williamson;
Spain – Ian Coltman;
UK – Bruce Birchall;
Arabian Gulf – Andre Bosch, James Fitzgerald & Clement Isack;
Germany - Mike Hoyer;
New Zealand - Chris Rooney.

Tournament Format

The Men’s competition will be limited to 20 teams with a format based on 5 Pools of 4 teams, see Rules & Laws.

The “The Beaumont Partnership” Women’s Sevens is based on two Pools of 4 teams (unless more teams apply) with the Pools and quarter finals played on Friday afternoon, and the semi finals and final played on Sunday.

The “XPotential” Youth Rugby Challenges 

U15 yrs Boys. For 12 - 16 Provincial and Bangkok-based schools - 12-a-side format.

U18 yrs Girls. For 12 - 16 Provincial and Bangkok-based schools - 7-a-side format.
