Sports Bars, Places to Have a Beer and/or a Meal
The Londoner Pub on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 33, will host the annual ‘Tournament Welcome Party’ on Friday night, before the Tournament. The Old Bangkok Bangers RFC base is the Wall Street Bar 350 metres down Soi 33 directly opposite Tournament Caterers, Tenderloins with Bistro 33 down a further 200m.
Other recommended locations include Soi Cowboy off Sukhumvit Soi 23 where sponsors include Moonshine Bar and Jungle Jims, Fanny’s and Toy Bar. A visit to Nana Entertainment Plaza in Sukhumvit Soi 4 is worth it, but beware of "Lady Boys". The Southerners RFC home base is now the Soi 8 Bar on Soi 8.
On Soi 11, try the Australian Pub & BBQ towards the end of Soi for a good beer and a great steak.
Warning - avoid drinking at any of the "roadside bars" in the City, mixed drinks may be spiked - have beers opened in your presence.
